Humber College provides resources and training to internationally trained professionals.  Many internationally trained professionals have benefited from the educational opportunities and services they provide, such as advising services, language classes, and bridging programs that offer short-term, technical training. 
They have provided educational and career advice to over 5000 internationally trained professionals that has led them to further professional studies and employment in their desired fields.

  • Bridging program for internationally trained immigrants with education and experience in information technology, computer science or engineering (computer, electronics or electrical).
  • Benefit from cutting edge training in just 15 weeks that will help you gain industry-specific concepts and skills in topics, which may include: computer networking, information security, installation and configuration of server(s) in a virtualized environment with an emphasis on operating system(s).

  • Have previous work experience outside of Canada in information technology, computer science or engineering (computer, electronics or electrical)
  • Do not have work experience in Canada at a level commensurate with their international education/experience
  • Possess a current Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment at a minimum Level 7/8 (Consider OSLT if you do not meet this requirement)
$2100 to $2900 for September 2019 intake but eligible for full tuition reimbursement for those who qualify. Kindly check with Humber directly.

  • Successfully complete a preliminary computer programming assessment
  • Humber offers a 15-week bridging program for internationally educated civil, mechanical and electrical engineers and architecture professionals with training in the latest technical and software skills in demand by Ontario employers.
  • Hands-on learning with the latest Engineering Software in the industry
  • Employment Advisors dedicated to helping you build your professional network
  • 45 hours of Project Management education recognized by the Project Management Institute for the purpose of PMP Certification

  • Engineering students in this program may be eligible to receive One (1) free year of membership with the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE)

  • Have previous work experience outside of Canada in the Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Architectural field
  • Do not have their highest level of education from a Canadian educational institution
  • Have a current Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment score at a minimum Level 7/8 (Consider OSLT if you do not meet this requirement)
  • Possess very good computer skills in MS Office

  • The Supply Chain Awareness and Employment Program is a unique 10-week Supply Chain Bridging Program for internationally trained professionals with education and experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Purchasing.
  • This program is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge required to secure commensurate employment in the Ontario Supply Chain sector.
  • Not only will you acquire and develop technical skills, but also the communication and interpersonal skills currently being sought after by employers in this field.
  • Most importantly, by participating in this program, you will have access to an Employment Advisor as well as a Job Developer to ensure that you build connections with hiring employers and are positioned to secure employment in the Supply Chain sector upon graduation.
